Jerry Eze Foundation Scholarship Explained: Grants, Eligibility, and What Beneficiaries Get

Jerry Eze Foundation Launches Empowerment Scholarship for Young Nigerians

In a major push to empower the next generation of Nigerian innovators, Pastor Jerry Uchechukwu Eze — renowned preacher, founder of Streams of Joy International and convener of New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD) — has announced a groundbreaking empowerment scholarship and grant initiative through the Jerry Eze Foundation aimed at supporting young entrepreneurs across the country.

What’s the Scholarship / Grant All About?

Although commonly shared online as a “scholarship,” the Jerry Eze Foundation’s current flagship initiative is best described as a youth empowerment grant scheme designed to provide direct financial support to young Nigerians who have innovative ideas or are already running small businesses.

Here’s how it works:

  • A total of $300,000 (roughly ₦420 million) has been earmarked for distribution to young Nigerians in 2026.
  • 100 young entrepreneurs will each receive at least $3,000 (~₦4.2 million) — grant funds that do not have to be repaid.
  • The grants are targeted at individuals operating in three key sectors:
    • Agriculture – boosting food production and rural enterprise
    • Technology – supporting digital innovators and tech startups
    • Manufacturing – strengthening local production and industry
  • The programme is being administered through an independent organisation to ensure transparency, fairness, and accountability in how beneficiaries are selected and funded.

Pastor Eze describes this empowerment grant as part of a broader vision to help Nigerian youths not only find economic opportunity, but also to move from ideas to action, blending practical empowerment with faith-inspired leadership.

“The Jerry Eze Foundation caters for the total man,” Pastor Eze said, stressing that the initiative is not limited to spiritual support but extends to economic upliftment and sustainable growth.

Expanded Impact Through Partnerships

Shortly after the foundation announced the $300,000 grant, several prominent Nigerian business leaders and organisations stepped in to boost the initiative:

  • 🧑‍💼 Tonye Cole pledged additional funds to support more beneficiaries.
  • 💼 Tony Elumelu Foundation also contributed, along with Flutterwave and others, increasing the total available support to upwards of $525,000 and expanding the number of beneficiaries.
  • These partners are also offering business education and technical support — for example, a 12-week business training programme for awardees and mentorship in tech sectors.

What This Means for Young Nigerians

In a country where access to startup capital and business support remains a significant barrier for youth entrepreneurs, the Jerry Eze Foundation’s grant initiative represents a significant step toward economic empowerment. With financial backing, mentorship, and skills development embedded into the programme’s design, beneficiaries can scale their ventures or develop fresh ideas with reduced risk.

Although specific application details and timelines have not yet been fully disclosed, interested young Nigerians are encouraged to follow updates on Jerry Eze’s official social media pages — particularly Facebook — where the foundation continues to post the latest information about the programme rollout.

We will keep updating application/enrolment details here on our website as soon as they’re made public. Keep in touch
