Manchester United have made their first signing of the summer, with agreement in place for the transfer of Matheus Cunha from Wolves.
The Brazilian winger is set to arrive in Manchester after United triggered his release clause valued at £62.5m which the Red Devils have agreed to pay in installments. Cunha will sign a deal with Man United until 2030 with an option for an extra year. More details on this deal is expected this week with official signing and announcements.

Manchester United have just finished their worst season in many years, ending the 2024/2025 Premier League campaign in 15th place with just 42 points, –their final day 2-0 victory over Aston Villa only coming as a consolation after a costly defeat in the Europa League to Tottenham.
It is no surprise that the Red Devils have wasted no time getting into the transfer market to secure their transfer targets – a move necessary if they’re to be successful in their bid for a rebuild. In the eyes of many, the squad needs a major overhaul and signing Cunha is the first step in that direction. Manchester United still need a striker or two and some midfielders and at least a defender and a goalkeeper. More importantly, United need to find ways to sell off some players to make room and funds available for new signings.
