The European Champions put on an incredible show as they knocked out the Galácticos in Wednesday’s semi final at the MetLife stadium.

When this fixture was drawn, many had expected Real Madrid to live up to their pedigree. However, it was Paris St Germain who put in one of the best first half performances of the tournament to oust the Spanish giants.

Real Madrid required two great saves from Thibaut Courtois to keep the score goalless in the first four minutes. But there was no stopping PSG as they opened the scoring a minute later.

The Spain international Fabian Ruiz gets the better of Federico Valverde before finishing from about 10 yards. It was his second goal of the game.

The game was pretty much decided in that first half as Real Madrid couldn’t muster anything reasonable in the second. Not even a switch in formation or substituting Bellingham for Modric could change anything. Instead, it was Paris St Germain who added another goal late on.
