Multiple sources have confirmed the imminent move of Bayer Leverkusen right back Jeremy Frimpong to Liverpool. Although not announced by Liverpool yet, the Reds are believed to have reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for the transfer of the defender who will replace the Madrid bound Trent Alexander Arnold.
As per Fabrizio Romano on X, both clubs have reached an agreement with Liverpool set to trigger the Frimpong’s €35million release clause.

The Dutch fullback is expected to sign a five year deal with the Reds and a medical is now being scheduled. This is a statement move by Liverpool who are looking to solidify their team for the next campaign after winning the league in Arne Slot’s first season in charge.
Jeremy Frimpong seems a bargain buy and a logical replacement for Trent Alexander Arnold. The 24 year old is quite solid defensively and in offense having scored 5 goals and provided 5 assists in the Bundesliga this season. Frimpong is versatile and can play in a number of positions along the right, including right back, right wing back and right winger. He is good at delivering dangerous crosses into the box and also possess good dribbling skills.
Despite signing Jeremy Frimpong, Liverpool still have their eyes set on a number of summer transfer targets including Brighton’s Kaoru Mitoma and Newcastle striker, Aleksandr Isak.
In another news, Conor Bradley has signed a new deal that will see him remain at Liverpool until June 2029.
