Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen negotiating a deal for the transfer of Florian Wirtz. The Reds have made formal approach to Bayer Leverkusen after receiving green light from Florian Wirtz.
After signing Jeremy Frimpong, Liverpool are in talks again with Bayer Leverkusen, this time for their midfield sensation, Florian Wirtz. The Reds are confident to get a deal done and are ready to close the deal soon to avoid surprises.

Wirtz have been one of the standout players for Bayer Leverkusen especially in their title winning 2023/2024 campaign where he contributed 11 goals and 12 assists in 32 league appearances. This season, Florian Wirtz scored 10 goals and provided 12 assists in 31 Bundesliga appearances. His performances have made him a top transfer target for top clubs like Bayern Munich and Man City.
But with City pulling out of the race earlier, The Red are now favorites to sign Wirtz ahead of Bayern Munich, and Florian Wirtz has informed Bayer Leverkusen of his desire to join Liverpool. Wirtz wants a move to the Premier League and prefers to play for Arne Slot’s Liverpool.

Although Bayer Leverkusen’s asking price is on the high side, reportedly around £126 million which would be a British transfer record, but Liverpool are confident they can get a deal done soon.
